I take blogging and reviewing items very seriously - my readers' trust and respect is more important to me than anything. I'm 100% honest with my reviews on here; regardless of whether or not a product has been sent out to me.
I usually mention in a blog post whether or not the product has been sent to me to review, and my readers know it doesn't affect my stance on a product. From January 2013 onwards, I'll be marking every item sent to me with an asterix (*).

I only review products that I genuinely would like to use/ wear, and products that will hold an interest to my readers. Being informed of a product prior to sending it out to me is crucial; please let me know what it is in advance, especially when it comes to skincare, haircare and makeup products; e.g I'm not keen on reviewing products that aren't suitable for my skin type, as it'll more than likely cause a reaction.
I started this blog in 2009 and I didn't receive anything to review until 2011; I never started this blog with PR samples or event invites in mind. My ethos is the same as it was in 2009, and I want my readers to continue to trust me and my reviews. I've worked hard at Thunder + Threads for 4 years now, so the perks are only a benefit of that determination and hard work. :)
